Notes from Activities Committee (April 2008)

            This coming season (October 2008 – April 2009) the Activities Committee is planning some new events. Since we now have the big screen HD TV, it was decided it would be nice to have an occasional “Movie Night” at the Clubhouse. The committee has tentatively set aside five Friday evenings and designated them as “Movie Nights”. It is hoped that individuals will step forward and suggest DVD movies that either they have in their possession or that can be rented or borrowed for us to use. Let a member of the Activities Committee know if you have a favorite movie you would like us to show.

            We are also designating some other Friday or Saturday evenings as possible presentation evenings during which people from Sugar Creek are encouraged to make a presentation open to anyone interested. Presentations might involve hobbies, travel, or other endeavors that might be informative and entertaining. We know there are people in this park who have experiences, adventures, or slides or photos that they might be willing to share. We have the capability of playing video tapes or DVDs but don’t have a slide projector or screen. Let the Activities Committee know if you would be interested in making a presentation. Don’t forget, if you have materials relevant to a presentation; be sure to bring them with you when you return in the fall.
